Official Contest Rules

No purchase necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited.

  1. Description of the Contest: The Parallels Brand Contest (the "Contest") is designed to encourage all Parallels global Service Provider Partners to update the Parallels brand on their websites.
  2. Sponsor: The Contest is sponsored by Parallels Inc. ("Parallels"), a Delaware corporation with principal place of business at 13755 Sunrise Valley Drive Ste 600 Herndon, VA 20171 USA with support and contribution of its affiliated companies located in Europe and Asia.
  3. Binding Agreement: In order to enter the Contest, Partner must agree to these Official Rules ("Rules"). If you are a minor, you must obtain the prior permission of your parent and/or legal guardian and your parent and/or legal guardian must also agree to these Rules on their and your own behalf before you can enter this Contest. You hereby renounce to hold Parallels and its affiliates for any incidental damage or economical prejudice caused by your participation in this contest.
  4. Eligibility: The contest is open to all existing Parallels Service Provider Partners who are in good standing with a current Partner contract in place on June 1, 2009. New partners who sign up after June 1, 2009 are also eligible to participate in the contest once their contract is approved.
  5. Drawing: Partner is responsible for sending the official contest entry form. If there are issues or questions, send an email to the marketing team in Herndon to . The drawing shall be managed and shall occur at Parallels Herndon, VA location on or around Oct. 7, 2009. Winners will be contacted by email and posted on the PartnerNet section of the Parallels.com website.
  6. Prizes. All prizes will be awarded by Parallels.

    • One (1) Grand prize -- large (42"-46") LCD TV (up to $1700 USD value)
    • One (1) 1st prize – Deluxe Wii package with controllers and Wii fit (up to $530 USD value)
    • One (1) 2nd prize – Wii package (up to $342 USD value)

    Winner will be selected by random drawing from all entries submitted to the contest. Chance of winning depends on the number of entries received and could be as low as 1 in 2,100. If a winner cannot, or will not accept a prize, then the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the next entry drawn. Winners do not need to be present to win. Best efforts will be made to purchase grand prize and shipped directly to the winner. If the prize cannot be purchased within reasonable efforts, the equivalent of the price of the prize will be sent to the Partner. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner(s). No exceptions will be allowed. Parallels does reserve the right to vary the prizes without any previous notification. The prizes are not transferrable and no alternatives will be offered.

  7. To enter: All Partners will be eligible for prize drawing if they meet criteria set forth in Parallels Quick Guide to Branding and upon confirmation by a Parallels representative. Partners who have already met the brand requirements will be eligible for the drawing of prizes but must submit the contest entry form in order to be officially entered. All entries are subject to random auditing to ensure quality assurance and meeting of contest guidelines.

    Steps to Enter the Parallels Brand Contest:

    1. Update Partner website according to the new branding guidelines provided by Parallels and available at http://www.parallels.com/r/pdf/ds/Parallels_Quick_Guide_to_Branding.pdf
    2. Submit an official Parallels Service Provider Brand Contest Entry Form.
    3. All entries will be confirmed by a Parallels representative.
    4. Once confirmed, Partner will be entered into the contest to win one of three prizes mentioned above.
    5. Earn bonus entries by updating your current service offerings to Parallels® Plesk 9.0 and/or Parallels® Virtuozzo Containers 4.5.
    6. Start date is June 1, 2009 and all entries must be received by midnight 12:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Sept. 30, 2009. Drawing will be held on or around Oct. 7, 2009.
    7. Partners who make extra efforts to showcase the Parallels brand on the Partner website will be judged for possible recognition at the 2010 Parallels Summit. Partners who wish to be considered for the additional recognition must check the box on the brand contest entry form.
  8. Winner notification: winner will be notified on or about Oct. 12, 2009 by email, and winners will be posted on the Parallels PartnerNet website. Winners give Parallels unlimited rights to use winners' Partner name in advertising and publicity, without further compensation.
  9. Limitation of liability: Parallels is not responsible for lost or stolen entries, or entries that are lost due to computer, Internet, or electronic malfunction. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest and award the prize through alternate means if fraud or technical failures compromises the integrity of the contest, as determined by Parallels at its sole discretion.
  10. Additional Chance to Win: An additional entry may be gained if Partner begins promoting Parallels Plesk Panel 9.0 or higher, or Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.5.
  11. Employees of Parallels, its subsidiaries and their respective affiliates, agencies and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
